Student Nutrition

Nutrition plays a vital role in a student’s ability to concentrate and learn effectively. The Student Nutrition department supports the educational process by providing students with quality nutritious meals in accordance with USDA and state department guidelines at a low price. Students are offered a wide variety of fruits and vegetables daily at both breakfast and lunch. The department works with local farms whenever possible to provide locally grown foods, all with the goal of making the healthy choice the easy choice for students.

In addition to breakfast and lunch served daily, the student nutrition department offers nutrition education in the classroom taught by a registered dietitian and is available to all grade levels.

The student nutrition department also is responsible for collecting applications for free and reduced lunch, ensuring all students are able to afford a healthy, nutritious breakfast and lunch.
