My name is Michelle Gritz and I am proud to be Principal at Sugar Creek!

I am so blessed to begin my 25th year of being an educator in the Fort Mill School District. Our motto at  Sugar Creek is putting  children first, striving for  excellence and building positive  relationships. This motto stems from our school district’s vision of Children First…Every Day.

A successful education is a joint effort between the school and the home which is why family and community are the fundamentals of Sugar Creek. Communicating effectively with parents and the community is an important way to keep families informed of class activities, PTO and school events. Our school’s focus will continue towards being “Shark Strong” and working towards the character values of showing respect, having integrity and being kind. When our students, staff and community work on displaying these values, then our foundation of being a No Place for Hate school strengthens. Additionally, our staff collaborates on planning and developing lessons that meet students where they are in their academics, behavior and social/emotional needs.

I look forward to continuing my educational journey at Sugar Creek and to serving our students, staff and families. We are SHARK STRONG!
