Fort Mill School District Schools
The Fort Mill School District (FMSD) operates a total of 16 schools, comprised of nine elementary schools, five middle schools, and two high schools. High school #3 is under development with a planned opening date of August 2019.
State law requires that all students attending the FMSD be legal residents of the district. Generally, to be a legal resident, a student must be living with a parent or legal guardian who resides within the boundaries of the FMSD and possesses appropriate custody documents.
Students attend a particular school based on the school attendance area associated with their permanent residence. In the event you are unfamiliar with the attendance area serving a particular address within the boundaries of the school district,

The Fort Mill School Board believes that attendance is a key factor in student achievement, and any absence from school represents an educational loss to the student.
