FMSD LEAP Family Education Program
The LEAP program "Learning Experiences And Parenting" is a Family Literacy program designed for parents and their children who live in the Fort Mill School District. We encourage parents as their child’s first and most important teacher. We offer services that support families and help prepare preschool children for school success.
LEAP offers a monthly home learning packet for children ages 2-5. The packet includes a book, a learning game, art project, and parent information.

Group meetings are available for parents and preschool children. Our hour-long meeting includes stories, songs, and center activities for families to do together. The group meetings are held at Riverview, Tega Cay, and Fort Mill Elementary Schools.
We direct families to resources - medical, educational, and other needs. We refer children to preschool programs within our school district and outside the district. We direct adults to Adult Education classes for GED and English Classes.
