New Student Enrollment FAQs

The enrollment process begins with completing the application on our online system called:  Final Forms. 

You will be prompted at the end to schedule an in-person enrollment appointment to complete your registration.

The first day of School is August 4, 2025. 

School hours vary by school level—the day begins earlier for your youngest students.

Elementary school hours are from 7:35am until 2:00pm.

Middle school hours are from 8:10am until 3:10pm.

High school hours are from 8:40am until 3:40pm. 

*Doors open 30 minutes before school begins

In order to ensure that teacher assignments and class schedules are prepared for the first day of school on August 4, 2025, new students must be completely registered by the end of the day on July 30, 2025.

Yes - Immunization records must be submitted to the school nurse within 30 days of the first day of school.

The Rock Hill Health Department provides this service; call 803-909-7300 for an appointment. You will have 30 days from student's start of school to submit this form.

Yes. Please schedule an appointment for each of the children you are registering so that there is enough time available to review all documents for each child.

Click on the appointment link you received after your initial appointment to make adjustments to your appointment day and time.

After enrolling and scheduling an appointment online parents are to bring required documentation to the Fort Mill School District Office, 2233 Deerfield Drive, Fort Mill. for grades PreK to 8th, High school Students complete their appointment at the assigned high school.  

Please note if you are registering a high schooler and PreK-8th grade student, please space out the appointments so that there is enough time to complete and travel to the other location.

After enrolling and scheduling an appointment online, parents will need to bring required documentation to the Registrar of their assigned high school (based on attendance area).

Yes,  you will need to complete the same new student registration process.

Do not complete online registration or schedule an appointment until you are residing within the Fort Mill School District’s attendance lines and your child has completed the 24-25 school year at their current school. 

*Please note, if you schedule your appointment before you are a resident, you will not be able to complete the process and will need to reschedule. 

Registration will need to take place once your child is physically in the area to start school the next day.

No.  You must complete new student enrollment before your student can participate in summer conditioning for a fall sport.

Students enrolling in PK-8 do not have to attend the enrollment appointment.

High School students should accompany the parent at the registration appointment.

We will request your child’s report card and school records at their enrollment appointment.  However, if you have a copy of the final report card, iep, etc.. Please bring in those documents to your appointment.

The request for records will be completed and your student’s new school will receive the documents needed to review for Gifted and Talented eligibility.

If an enrolling parent does not speak English, we can use a phone based interpretation system.

To request bus transportation for your child to and/or from school, you will need to complete the request form in your parent portal.

Families wishing to use bus transportation must register through their Parent Portal Account after registration.  Some schools have non-transport zones due to proximity to the school.  Please visit the transportation website for more information. 

After enrollment, the schools will work on gathering records from prior schools to prepare schedules, which will be released through Parent Portal at the end of the summer based on grade levels: Elementary and middle school schedules will be released July 24th at 10am, High School schedules will be released on July 21 at 10am.

You will receive an email to set up your parent portal account and Pay fees account. You will have access to view grades and attendance for your children.

The district code for Power School is MRDR.
