Lindsay Weaver, English Language Arts Teacher at Gold Hill Middle School was selected as the 23-24 District Teacher of the Year.
At the Engaged 2 Learn conference meeting held Tuesday, August 15, the district announced the selection of the 2023-2024 District Teacher of the Year and Support Staff Employee of the Year. Lindsay Weaver, English Language Arts Teacher at Gold Hill Middle School was selected as the 23-24 District Teacher of the Year. Ms. Weaver attended the University of South Carolina, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Master in Library and Information Science. She also earned a Gifted and Talented Endorsement from Converse College. In addition to teaching sixth grade ELA, Ms. Weaver is a member of the American Association of Libraries and the South Carolina Association of School Librarians. She also serves as the English Language Arts Department Chair and a mentor for Teacher Cadets and Induction teachers.
